First, let's take a look at some problems that are easy to occur in the construction of excavators in plateau areas?

一、Difficulty in starting excavator in plateau area

1. The operating temperature of the battery is 20 ℃~40 ℃. With the decrease of the ambient temperature, the output capacity of the battery will decrease accordingly. When the temperature is lower than 30 ℃, the battery capacity will be reduced by 1%~1.5% every time the temperature is reduced by 1 ℃. At 0 ℃, the battery capacity is usually only about 60% of the value of *, which directly leads to a significant drop in the battery voltage, and it is difficult to provide enough power to reach the rated starting speed;

2. At low temperature, the viscosity of lubricating oil increases, the resistance between friction parts increases, and the starting speed of the engine decreases;

3. In high altitude areas, the air is thin and the air pressure decreases, which makes the compression terminal pressure temperature lower and the engine ignition delay increases, causing difficulty in starting;

4. At low temperature, the viscosity and surface tension of diesel fuel increase, which leads to the poor atomization quality of fuel injection and prolongs the ignition delay.

二、The power of excavator engine decreases and the fuel consumption increases

As the altitude rises, the air pressure drops, the air density decreases, and the oxygen content in the air also decreases, which has a significant impact on diesel powered excavators. For every 1000 meters above sea level, the atmospheric pressure decreases by 11.5%, the air density decreases by 9%, the power and torque of the internal combustion engine decreases by 8%~13%, the fuel consumption increases by 6%~9%, and the thermal intensity increases by 2%~5%, thus greatly reducing the power and economy of the engine.

三、The excavator engine is easy to "boil"

The boiling point of water decreases with the reduction of atmospheric pressure. At an altitude of 4500 meters, the measured boiling point of water is 87 ℃, which means that when the temperature is 87 ℃, the boiling point of water will appear "boiling". The normal operating temperature of the engine is about 80~90 ℃.

四、Other faults of excavator

Plateau low temperature and strong ultraviolet radiation have an impact on all kinds of mechanical materials and electrical components, and rubber sealing materials are easy to age, crack, wear, and reduce reliability; The metal materials have the problem of low temperature cold brittleness; The signal measured by the sensor is distorted. These will affect the normal operation of the excavator.

So how should we solve some problems?


1. The service life of the excavator battery that works on the plateau for a long time will be shorter than that on the plain. The frequency of battery replacement should be appropriately accelerated;

2. Multi grade engine oil with better low-temperature performance can be considered, such as 10W30. Sany pure engine oil CH-4 is your * choice;

3. Keep the radiator clean. Clean the intercooler regularly to reduce the intake air temperature and increase the density, which can greatly increase the engine power and improve the thermal load. * The combustion temperature, cycle average temperature, exhaust temperature and cylinder head temperature will be significantly reduced;

4. Properly adjusting the fuel supply advance angle will improve the smoke color of the engine. However, due to the low oxygen content in plateau areas, diesel fuel is not fully burned, and there will still be a small amount of black smoke.

5. Replace the plateau water tank cover to improve the boiling point of cooling water.

7. Check the air intake system frequently. The air pressure in the plateau area is low, and the blocked air intake channel makes the air intake volume smaller, which will lead to a serious decline in engine power;

8. Standardized operation. Correct preheating: first run for 3-5 minutes at low speed, and then increase the speed and operate with load after the engine oil temperature rises, the flow performance improves, and the turbocharger is fully lubricated. Operation with low temperature load is not allowed; Before the engine shuts down, gradually reduce the load and run at idle speed for 3-5 minutes. Stop the engine after the coolant temperature drops below 60 ℃ to prevent coking and bearing damage. In addition, the diesel engine cannot run at idle speed for a long time, which will increase the fuel consumption and aggravate the wear of parts. The turbocharger will also be poorly lubricated due to low lubricating pressure, leading to early damage. Therefore, the idling time should not exceed 10 minutes.

9. When the equipment enters the plateau for construction, because the engine will inevitably cause power reduction, the power of the main pump should be properly reduced to prevent the car from holding up.
